Upsolar, Tigo Energy Partner on Smart Solar PV ModulesOctober 10, 2012
Upsolar America Inc. (San Francisco, California, U.S.) announced that the company offers smart solar PV modules optimized by Tigo Energy, Inc. (Los Gatos, California, U.S.) in the United States.
The PV panels with a Tigo Maximizer embedded in the module junction box will reduce cost and installation time, while remaining field serviceable. Upsolar offers the smart modules in two versions with 240 MWp or 290 MWp respectively.
Increased yield, extended module strings
The PV modules UP-M240P and UP-M290P increase the project output by 3-25%, Upsolar emphasizes. Further benefits include reduction of balance of system costs through string length increase up to 25%, increased power density on flat rooftops, free basic monitoring, arc fault protection and remote disconnection.
“For the installer, this means a reduction of installation costs and enhanced safety; for the end-user, it means an accelerated return on investment through enhanced performance”, states the company.
