Tigo Energy Gets $500,000 Grant From DOE

Tigo Energysaid Thursday it has received one of 10 grants from the U.S. Department of Energy's SunShot program, which is focused on reducing the soft costs of solar energy installations.
The Los Gatos-based company specializes solar optimization technologies for photovoltaic (PV) solar installations. The award of up to $500,000 will be used to develop software to further reduce the costs associated with installation, commissioning, operations and maintenance of PV systems.
Tigo is the previous recipient of a $3 million SunShot Incubator award.
