TEWKSBURY, Mass.—(BUSINESS WIRE)—May. 4, 2009—Starent Networks, Corp. (Nasdaq: STAR), a leading provider of infrastructure solutions that enable mobile operators to deliver multimedia services, today announced it has received ISO 14001:2004 certification for its corporate headquarters in Tewksbury, Mass., from TUV America Inc., a globally recognized testing, inspection and certification organization. This certification reflects Starent’s successful implementation of an environmental management system for the design, production, sales and service of telecommunication products.

“Starent Networks is committed to protecting the environment and to providing a safe work place,” said Ashraf Dahod, president and chief executive officer of Starent Networks. “Compliance with applicable environmental laws and regulations is a minimum standard and is a shared concern of all Starent employees.”

Starent Networks focused and achieved two primary objectives for attaining certification. Certification is effective for three years, and Starent will continue to work with governmental and industry partners to establish programs and operations that safeguard employees, work locations and the communities in which it operates.
