HubSpot recently unveiled HubSpot 3 and an iPhone app at INBOUND 2012, but that’s not the only big news for the inbound marketing company. Today, they’ve announced their first expansion: HubSpot Europe. In January of 2013, Dublin, Ireland will be tinted orange, as the company opens international doors and welcomes in 150 new hires over the next three years.
The expansion is being made in response to HubSpot’s 200 percent growth in this year’s international business. The company serves nearly 8,000 customers in 56 countries with 30 percent of inbound sales leads originating outside of the United States, according to a release. By opening this debut branch office, 600+ customers will receive support and HubSpot will be able to deliver its vision to a global audience.
HubSpot has named Jeetu Mahtani as managing director of the Dublin office, coined #DubSpot on Twitter. Described by the company as the “Digital Hub” or “Silicon Valley of Europe,” Dublin is already home to the EMEA headquarters of giants such as Google, Facebook, Salesforce and LinkedIn.
IDA Ireland has pledged their support. “The decision by HubSpot to locate a new EMEA headquarters in Ireland further enhances Ireland’s reputation as the Internet capital of Europe,” said CEO Barry O’Leary in a release. “This is a fast-growing company and its location here is in keeping with one of the key targets in IDA’s strategy ‘Horizon 2020’ — to attract investment from the employment intensive software and services sector.”
Brian Halligan, HubSpot co-founder and CEO, admitted in the release that one of the goals is to personalize the HubSpot experience for the global marketplace. “We’re looking to hire the best marketing and sales talent in Dublin to help us ‘rewrite the book’ on how to market in Europe,” Halligan said.
HubSpot claims they’ve already built a product with their European audience in mind, saying they’re well-equipped to provide the EMEA customer base with: landing pages with A/B testing, contacts database with dynamic lists, email workflows, localized SEO tools, privacy law settings and 24/7 customer support.
