Gilt Groupe’s Full-Priced Men’s Clothing Site Coming Late SummerJune 10, 2011

The New York-based discount e-commerce site Gilt Groupe is prepping the launch of its full-priced men’s retail site in late summer.
The site will carry its own name of Park & Bond and is aiming to build a slightly different experience than Gilt Man because it will have broader selection and offer clothes in season.
To begin with, Park & Bond will have 80 brands, including Alexander McQueen, Isaia, Etro, Paul Smith, A.P.C., Neil Barrett, Thomas Pink, Todd Snyder, Vince, Theory, Common Projects, Brooks Brothers, and Florsheim by Duckie Brown.
John Auerbach, who currently serves as general manager of Gilt, will also be president of Park & Bond, and Brooke Cundiff will be in charge of merchandising.
“Men shop differently than women, and Park & Bond is designed with their needs in mind. Men are increasingly taking charge of their own wardrobe decisions and we aim to give them the tools to continue that trend — to outfit themselves without going ‘shopping,’” Auerbach said.
Gilt Groupe recently raised $138 million in capital to support the launch of this new brand and others, like Gilt Taste, a high-end online grocery.
