Cambridge-based GrabCAD announced that it hired a former LogMeIn executive to help supervise its sales efforts.
The startup, which offers a free 3D CAD library and collaboration tools for engineers, said it hired Armen Zildjian as vice president of sales. Zildjian was previously vice president of customer retention and e-commerce and also more recently a vice president of sales and marketing for LogMeIn, the Boston-based provider of cloud-based connectivity services.
Zildjian has over 18 years experience in software sales, including a stint with Sophos Inc. where he implemented the global retention strategy and established the company’s initial footprint in the U.S.
Last fall, GrabCAD launched a "Dropbox-like" feature that allows hardware engineers to access and share designs with manufacturers and customers via a website or a mobile phone.
