Enservio (www.enservio.com), the nation’s leading provider of Software as a Service (SaaS) platforms to the property insurance industry, today announced that Chris Schoettle has joined the company as President & Chief Operating Officer. Schoettle brings more than twenty-five years of leadership and a track record of successfully growing technology companies to the newly created position of President & COO at Enservio.
Schoettle’s addition to the Enservio management team comes on the heels of the company’s recently announced acquisition of Insurer’s World and closing 2011 with 40 percent year-over-year revenue growth.
In his leadership role at Enservio, Schoettle will be responsible for sales, service operations, engineering, product management and product marketing. He will add his expertise to the Enservio senior management team in scaling the rapidly growing business as the global information services and SaaS platform leader for property insurance.
“Chris adds invaluable depth and strength to our senior management team and will help us continue to scale Enservio’s products and services for our rapidly growing base of insurance carrier customers,” said Jon McNeill, CEO of Enservio. “Chris joined Akamai at just over $160M in sales and played key roles in helping to scale the company beyond $1B in sales. We’re looking forward to him doing the same at Enservio. Chris has an impressive track record leading some of the most recognizable names in technology and software services to phenomenal success and we’re thrilled to have him aboard.”
Prior to Enservio, Schoettle served as an executive vice president for a decade at Akamai, where he led the cloud-based products and services, the global technology platform, company operations, and multiple acquisitions/integrations. During this period, Akamai grew annual revenue from $160 million to $1 billion and generated $1.2 billion in cash from operations. Previously, Schoettle was president of broadband access at Lucent, running the business unit P&L with $600 million revenue and 700 employees worldwide.
Schoettle also held general management positions at AT&T, Novell, and Unix System Laboratories, including expatriate roles in Europe and Asia Pacific. He holds an M.S. and B.S. in mathematics and computer science from Emory University and was a Bobby Jones scholar at the University of St. Andrews. Schoettle serves on the board of trustees for the Massachusetts Technology Leadership Council.
“Enservio has rapidly emerged as the undisputed innovator and market leader in property insurance software and services, and I’m excited to be joining such a successful and dynamic company,” said Chris Schoettle. “I’m looking forwarded to working closely with Jon McNeill and the impressive senior management team as we build and expand on Enservio’s strong growth momentum.”
