Testing ensures compatibility of Digium’s award-winning Switchvox® IP PBX with MegaPath’s Duet SIP Trunking service

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – March 25, 2009 – Digium, the Asterisk® Company, today announced the interoperability of its award-winning, web-aware Switchvox® IP PBX with MegaPath’s Duet™ SIP Trunking service. MegaPath, the leading provider of managed IP data, voice and security services in North America, gives customers the ability to leverage Digium’s IP PBX to support the company’s voice and data communications services. Used together, Switchvox and the MegaPath Duet service can create substantial savings on voice and data services for small to mid-sized businesses (SMBs).

Digium’s Switchvox® IP PBX has been certified to work with MegaPath’s Duet™ SIP Trunking service, thereby streamlining adoption of the Switchvox telephony system. Switchvox is a low-cost VoIP and unified communications solution built on the open source Asterisk platform. MegaPath’s Duet SIP Trunking is a business-class phone and Internet T1 service that is delivered over a private, all-optical MPLS nationwide network using an existing IP-PBX system.
