Digital Reef Inc., an e-discovery software developer in Boxborough, has appointed Chris Risley as president and CEO of the company.
Risley takes over the role from Bob Lentz, who was appointed interim CEO in July 2009, replacing founding CEO Steve Akers, who is now serving as chief technology officer of the company.
Digital Reef noted in a press release Risley’s previous experience with IPOs – seven venture capital-backed companies that turned out an IPO and three sales to public companies. He also is chairman of StreamBase Systems Inc., a Lexington complex event processing (CEP) software maker, as well as chairman of the executive committee of Nominum Inc., a California-based developer of network naming and addressing solutions. Risley previously worked as CEO of both StreamBase Systems and Nominum. He also served most recently as CEO of Metalogix Software US Inc., a provider of SharePoint migration software with its U.S. headquarters in Waltham.
Digital Reef, founded in 2006, began with a $10 million venture capital funding from Matrix Partners and Pilot House Ventures.
