CloudBees Appoints André Pino as Vice President of MarketingTechnology Veteran Brings Proven, Dynamic Experience to CloudBees
August 16, 2011
CloudBees, the Java PaaS innovation leader, today announced the appointment of André Pino as Vice President of Marketing. Pino will leverage his extensive experience to drive CloudBees’ marketing initiatives and extend the reach of the company’s platform-as-a-service (PaaS). Pino’s background includes more than 20 years of executive-level marketing, business development and product development experience with companies such as Hewlett-Packard, Segue Software, iPhrase Technologies, Bluestone Software and Unisys Corp.
Pino immediately joins CloudBees from leading analyst firm Forrester Research Inc., where he was a principal analyst serving technology marketing professionals. In this role, he focused on lead-to-revenue management including strategies and tactics for accelerating revenue, improving marketing execution and sales alignment to drive top level growth through traditional, digital and social marketing strategies.
Prior to Forrester, Pino was Chief Marketing Officer at Acsis where he was responsible for managing Acsis’ sales and marketing operations. Pino has also served as CMO at Segue Software, Senior Vice President of Marketing at iPhrase Technologies, and as Marketing General Manager of the HP Middleware Division at Hewlett-Packard Company. While with HP, he was responsible for middleware marketing strategy, operations, and channel partner programs.
“We’re thrilled to welcome André to the CloudBees team—he brings a successful track record of establishing technology companies as leaders in their target markets,” said Sacha Labourey, CEO and founder of CloudBees. “André‘s experience in middleware application development and SaaS products will be critical to CloudBees as we continue to expand our market presence in the PaaS market.”
CloudBees provides the only develop-to-deploy cloud platform for Java and serves thousands of customers. It provides everything developers need to quickly and easily develop and deploy applications in the cloud—without having to purchase, configure and maintain hardware, and without having to program applications for a specific underlying infrastructure service (IaaS).
“I’m extremely excited to join the CloudBees team,” said Pino. “CloudBees is leading the industry with innovation that will completely change the pace by which applications are developed and deployed. I look forward to working with my colleagues to drive the company’s growth.”

CloudBees (www.cloudbees.com) is the only cloud company focused on servicing the complete Java application lifecycle for cloud development and deployment—without any servers, any virtual machines or any IT staff. The CloudBees platform today includes DEV@cloud, a service that lets developers take their build and test environments to the cloud, and RUN@cloud, which lets teams seamlessly deploy these applications to production on the cloud.
CloudBees is also the world’s premier expert on Jenkins, the most widely used continuous integration server. The company offers a Jenkins service as part of DEV@cloud, as well as an on-premise enterprise solution, Nectar, which is available as a subscription. Backed by Matrix Partners and Lightspeed Venture Partners, CloudBees was founded in 2010 by former JBoss CTO Sacha Labourey and an elite technology team.
